"Branding for
Naturalpreneurs: Positioning Your Business as a Unique Resource in the
Natural Hair Community" (Free
Workshop)
Branding has become a
hot topic in today's business world since human beings tend to assess
whether or not we like or dislike something within two to three seconds
- a very small window of time for someone or something to create a
positive, emotional association within us. As a natural hair care
professional, it is important to know what makes your business unique
and how to effectively present yourself to your ideal market as a
solution and a resource. In this seminar, Dawn will show you how to:
-
Assess the values,
strengths, and “personal trademarks” of your business
-
Determine your "unique
selling points" or USPs
-
Determine who the
ideal client/customer is for your business and how to connect with
them
-
Strategically create
ways for your ideal client/customer to build a positive association
with your business
Dawn Yerger’s firm,
DiamondMind Coaching & Consulting, specializes in branding, copywriting,
strategic fundraising and coaching services for entrepreneurs and social
entrepreneurs. It is her personal mission to bring out the best in
herself and others through connection to our inner and outer diamonds.
Dawn is the host of the
weekly P.O.L.I.S.H.ed
Entrepreneur
Radio Show and of the popular Nappturalite Radio Show, an
internet radio show dedicated to Black
natural hair.
Nappturalite Radio attracted an audience of over 1,000 listeners after
being on the air for less than one month.
After beginning her
journey into natural hair and launching Nappturalite Radio, Dawn was
inspired to create Naturalpreneur Central, a website community that
offers training and resources for businesses dedicated to natural hair
and natural living. She is also the
Chicago
Women's Business Examiner for
Examiner.com and a regular
contributor to
HybridMom.com and
MsCareerGirl.com.
As
a young entrepreneur, Dawn has been able to navigate the waters of
starting and operating many
home
businesses. After taking the leap as an
entrepreneur in 2007, she quickly mapped out a strategic attraction
framework, titled "P.O.L.I.S.H.ed", which allowed her to bridge the gap
between her business concept and a successful enterprise. She uses this
same model to coach other entrepreneurs on branding their businesses and
attracting the right clients and resources.
Dawn
is the author of the forthcoming book, “The
Brink: How Women Entrepreneurs Resurrected Their Businesses & How You
Can Do the Same”, which feature the stories of prominent women
entrepreneurs. She is also studying to complete her PhD in Holistic
Life
Coaching and resides in
Northwest
Indiana
with her daughter Khailah. She can be reached at dawnyerger@gmail.com.
